How to Access the Emerge App from a Web Browser
Supported Web Browsers
Before we start, make sure you’re using one of these supported browsers:
- Chrome (or other Chromium-based browsers)
- Firefox
- Safari
- Edge
Special Note for Safari on iOS
If you’re using Safari on an iOS device, you might encounter an issue where the login process doesn’t work due to pop-ups being blocked by default. Our authentication providers (Google, Microsoft, and LinkedIn) require pop-ups to log you into your account. Here are a couple of ways to fix this.
Method 1: Using the Apps Section
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Scroll down and tap Apps.
- In the list of apps, scroll down and select Safari.
- Scroll to the General section.
- Locate Block Pop-ups and toggle it off (so the switch is no longer green).
Method 2: Using the Search Bar
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Use the Search bar at the top of the screen and type Safari.
- Tap on the result for Safari Settings.
- Scroll to the General section.
- Locate Block Pop-ups and toggle it off (so the switch is no longer green).
Special Note for Edge on Windows
If you’re using Microsoft Edge, you may encounter an issue where the login process doesn’t work because pop-ups are blocked by default. Our authentication providers (Google, Microsoft, and LinkedIn) require pop-ups to log you into your account. Here are a couple of ways to fix this.

- Click the menu button (three dots) in the upper-right corner of the window.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
- In the left sidebar, click Cookies and site permissions.
- Scroll down to find Pop-ups and redirects and click on it.
- Toggle Blocked (recommended) to off.
Method 2: Using the Search Feature
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Click the menu button in the upper-right corner of the browser (three dots).
- Click the menu button (three dots) in the upper-right corner of the window.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
- In the left sidebar, use the Search box and type “pop-ups.”
- Scroll through the search results to find Pop-ups and redirects and click on it.
- Toggle Blocked (recommended) to off.
Accessing EmergeNET
Depending on the who you are, you’ll use a different web address to access EmergeNET:
- Applicants: applicant.emergenet.com
- Educators: educator.emergenet.com
- Employers: employer.emergenet.com
Step-By-Step Guide
- Open your preferred web browser from the supported list above.
- In the address bar at the top of the browser, type in the appropriate web address for your user type (as listed above).
- Press Enter or tap Go on your keyboard.
- You’ll be taken to the EmergeNET login page for your user type.
- Login and you’re all set!
